Guest guest
Long, long time ago…..old timers may remember Lorenzo Q Squarf burst onto the prostate cancer scene with his somewhat iconoclastic ideas which caused a good deal of amusement for some and a good deal of anger for others. Unfortunately he got bored with the idea of Watchful Waiting, prostate cancer and annoying the true believers and he went on his way to write a book about flying (one of his many interests) and to post on a number of other Forums on a number of other subjects. In gong through my files I came across a bit of his original website – unfortunately the main website was taken down - and thought some might be interested to read what he had to say, especially in the light of subsequent developments on the Active Surveillance front. The scrap is here http://www.yananow.net/Squarf.htm All the best Prostate men need enlightening, not frightening Terry Herbert - diagnosed in 1996 and still going strong Read A Strange Place for unbiased information at http://www.yananow.net/StrangePlace/index.html
Guest guest
An interesting blog by Mr. Squarf. Worth noting, I think, that he was 65 years old when first diagnosed with very early stage PCa. At this age and stage it could be assumed that this would be a slow growing cancer that might not create any problems for many years. A huge number of men die with (not from) prostate cancer without even knowing it, as would probably have been the case here if not for the screening. But I'm sure other results may vary - as they say. I wonder who Lorenzo Q Squarf really is?
