Guest guest
Eileen, It is not necessary for your sons to follow this diet but I have two thoughts . . . 1. It could become necessary at a later date. Some people do just fine gluten free, but not everyone. It is possible that things could get worse. It is pretty rare for a celiac to just have celiac for long . . . (not trying to depress you, but I've been on the celiac forum) 2. This diet was first started for celiacs . . . and they were healed. This is very controversial among celiac communities, but I've read Dr. Haas' book and I am following this diet, praying for healing. Guest guest
so the villi grow back but if bacteria is still there, they are still being damaged?? - doesn't everyone have bacteria? not just us " intestional disease people " I'm confused eileen > >thanks - I have read it (but will re-read) - but > >i guess because they have no symptoms (never > >did) and are so young that I feel gf will heal > >them - I mean I know my villi are back already > >and I'm doing scd now for the Crohns healing - > >I'm just confused that why not just be gf - if > >they never slip - they'll be healed inside too right?? > > Eileen, > > " Gluten free " removes only the major problem for celiacs.
