Guest guest
Hi Cyndie! Welcome to the group.... After all the research I have done, I came to the conclusion that the DS was the only way for me! The bowel, gas, diarrhea seems to depend on the person and what they eat. It also seems to decrease over time, so I am not worried. Also, I've seen comments from people who've had the RNY that they have some bowel, gas and diarrhea problems as well, so I'm not even considering RNY an option for myself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ P.<A HREF= " apapararo@... Guest guest
HI all... I'm cyndie and have just had my visit with my surgeon about obtaining the WLS. I got the talk about what surgery would I like to have... He does mostly the RNY but will do the DS. I am finding myself drawn to the DNS, but need a few more facts... especially like the recovery stuff. The main downfall of the DNS seems to be the bottom half adaptions.. if you get my drift. What about the gas and diarrhea? Does it last forever? Is it managable? What is the postsurgery recovery like? Oh so many questions... need a friend who has been there. Thanks Cyndie
Guest guest
Thanks .. Just spending some time looking for all the information that I can find... I am also leaning towards the DS and am just waiting for the scheduling of surgery myself. Is everyone as scared as I am? I want to go from point A (which is now) to point Z ( my goal weight and AFTER surgery) right now!! Any magic wands out there? I didn't think so. But the more I read and see, and talk the more I see this as the option that I have been looking for, for most of my life. Could anyone out there tell me about postop recovery steps? Thanks for everything and I " m really looking forward to speaking with you all... I can't figure out this Java enabler and how to get it so I can participate in the chats. Any computer wizards out there? Talk to you all soon, Cyndie > Hi Cyndie! Welcome to the group.... After all the research I have done, I > came to the conclusion that the DS was the only way for me!
