A couple of years ago before I started saving links to good articles I saw something that summarized studies of the effect of diet on RA. From what I remember it said there is definitely a correlation between diet and RA. Unfortunately some people did well on one diet while others did well on another diet. On average any particular diet was no better than any other. Like so many things with RA we have to do our own experiments and be patient to find out what works. I have not noticed any effect of my eating habits on my RA but I haven't tried any extreme measures to find out. On http://arthritisinsight.com/ there's a link for Diet and Nutrition where there are several posts that may be of interest. I particularly like the two by Joe Hackett (Joe's Story and Leaky Gut Syndrome). God bless.

Subject: Coffee/RA linked?

Dear Buddies,I did a Google search on coffee and RA and found conflicting information. The most recent findings(2004) do not find a link though...at least one article did not. Here's the link:<http://www.niams.nih.gov/ne/highlights/spotlight/2004/ra_coffee.htm>I guess this could go either way. You know sometimes the medical community believes something and a few years later they do a 180 and say completely the opposite thing. Which is why we listen, but with "a grain of salt."Worth further consideration, I guess...Nita
