(snip) Agreed. Except: There is a current debate, at least in the USofA, about the utility of screening tests. I have a viewpoint -- which I will not expound at this point. I do believe, however, that it is useful for our brothers to be made aware of of the debate in an even-handed manner so that they may be aided to selection of their tx choices. Thus: A sez to do this; B sez do that, and perhaps C recommends something else. Each of us must make our choices; and as we know our medics often simply do not have time or perhaps education nor even desire to help. Often, our medics grant us only about fifteen minutes of their â€precious“ time for an office visit. So: what to do, what to do? I suggest that those of us who have something to contribute to the education of the newbys make very effort to provide impartial information that will assist in the education of our brothers without attempting to lead them in any particular direction.
