And Davian is as well, I would also be glad that he can stay with them! You are lucky......I live 15 hours away from the closest family member.....There is literally NO ONE, that I can leave Lexi with even for a few hours, let alone everyday. So Lexi would have to go to daycare if I had to work! I am glad for you, that Davian gets to spend time with his gramma's that is important as well! Guest guest
Have you tried cabbage? Green cabbage leaves, rinsed and chilled, worn inside your bra to keep them against the skin, are said to help with engorgement. Warm compresses, warm/hot showers, and follow up with ice is also helpful. Take something also for the discomfort, like Tylenol or Ibuprofen. You can also try leaning over her, with Angel laying on the floor in front of you. Also, shake your breasts as much as you can tolerate between nursing. It may help loosen any blocked ducts. It might happen to only one side if it is not being drained well. Try working Angel's mouth around all positions of " the clock. " Make sure your bra isn't too tight, and if you have been wearing an underwire, go back to a soft cup for a few days. Keep nursing from both sides. Start on the most full breast first when she has a more active suck. Do a super switch. Just be sure that it drains. I am so sorry you are engorged! You just aren't a typical woman!
