Guest guest
No I haven't. But, I do know that yeast can be present topically all over our bodies, and a belly button (if an innie) is a nice warm, moist place for it to grow. Soooo - as a test, you might want to try buying one of those 3 day creams (LikeGyneLotrimin) and applying to the area at least twice a day, probably more if you can. I say this because the area is prone to allowing the cream to be wiped off rather easily. Its worth a try - cheaper than a doc's visit and only a 3 day treatmen. Do put on several times a day though.... because when you think of vaginal yeast that cream stays in there just about the 24 hours and then we apply again vagianlly for yet another two days so that in the vagina there is a constant supply of the cream. On your belly button that will be hard to achieve, unless you reapply frequently, I'm guessing. Just a thought Dusty Anyone ever experience this? I have been experiencing less symptoms of swelling and pain in the vaginal area, but my belly button is always red and itchy. When it is time for my period it is at its worst. It gets bright red and somewhat painfull. It feels like it is connected to my vaginal pain which also it at its worst during this time of the month. All the doctors tell me to do is use neosporin. I use it and it takes away some of the itching, but the redness does not decrease until I start my period. It never really goes away it just lessens. Anyone ever expeirence this? **IF REPLYING TO THIS POST, PLEASE REMOVE ORIGINAL POST, THANKS** Our HOME page is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VulvarDisorders to search our archives, files, articles, etc. ***
Guest guest
Here is an excerpt from a previous post on another group which may be helpful. =============== During the past four years I went to a Doctor of Naturopathy who is also a spiritual healer (medical intuitive). As he was working on, he was for some reason, shall we say, " inspired " to put a finger into my belly button. When he did, I reacted violently as he questioned, " What was that? " I went on to tell him I'd never been able to tolerate being touched in my belly button. He deadened this response that very day and I've no longer had any issues with my belly button. ==================== Ora >I have been experiencing less symptoms of swelling and pain in the >vaginal area, but my belly button is always red and itchy. Guest guest
, Sorry I don't have any info to help you, but I remember reading Dr. Goldstein's message board about vulvodynia and he mentioned that he's noticed a possible association between sensitive belly buttons and vestibulitis. He's at ourgyn.com. (I have vulvar vestibulitis but I don't have a sensitive belly button.) Lily
