Guest guest
Hi Leanne The support group meeting at Emory (ATL) went very well. I was told I could bring back any information that I wanted to for them. They really appreciated the books and the brochures. I encouraged them to take them to their local pulmonary docs. After Mauri, (the nurse) left, she turned it over to ME! I started up a good discussion about portable concentrators and disability. The next meeting will be in March. I also encouraged them to join our group. Some of them belong to other groups, PFF & Huff'N Puff. When I mentioned the trips, they were VERY interested. I guess it is hard to imagine a group of IPF'ers, etc. on a weekend get-a-way together. But we did it! At the end of the meeting, Dr. Roman, head of pulmonary at emory, came in to chat. How many doctors will do that? Maybe in March some more doctors will come. Toodles! Guest guest
Jane, Excellent. Thanks for the update. Slow but sure. I've heard a lot of positive feedback about Dr. Roman.
