Completely noraml and it doesn't bother/hurt them in the least. It is just

their little diaphragm learning how to work in conjunction with breathing

and nursing. He'll outgrown them.

,

hiccups are just part of baby life. Some babies get them bad some don't. You

can switching sides if it seems like he is choking. Swallowing air can help

give them hiccups. You also can leave him propped up a little so that he isn't

bringing up milk with his hiccups and the milk will be able to digest easier.

(Just for about 20 min after he eats) Other than that there isn't much you can

do. I am glad everything is going well.

going well - hiccups?

Wendi - Thanks for asking - yes, things are going very well. Corey has gained

5oz from Friday to Monday (yesterday) and only has 6 more to go to get back to

his birthweight of 10lbs. - I'm so proud of him! We're having great success

with nursing. One question I have is, he seems to get hiccups after nursing -

maybe 3 out of 4 times. Is there anything I can do to help him avoid them? He

doesn't seem terribly upset but it rocks his whole little body!

mommy to Corey one week old today!
