Guest guest
Hi Kristy, I know you asked Sandy, but please allow me to add my two cents... I've had quite a bit of experience with yeast and yeast-related treatments. My doctors told me that blood tests do not show yeast infections (yeast overgrowth), but it can show up in stool tests (they need to culture it for several days). http://www.directlabs.com/GreatSmokies.php <--Great Smokies is one of the well-known labs that test for candida in the stool (which is indicative of a yeast infection in the GI tract). Click on "Tests" and then scroll down to "Individual Tests". You'll find one for candida. When there is yeast overgrowth in the GI tract, it is likely that the patient is also experiencing systemic yeast infection symptoms. (You can also find candida questionnaires online that help you to determine if you might have a systemic yeast infection.) Lily
