Guest guest
Interesting reading for sure. Especially with statements like: " Prostate cancer science is an embarrassment and its attendant medical treatments are a disgrace to the profession. " (http://www.fitcare.org.uk/epidemic/3.0.treatment.html} Reading this type of stuff really makes one wonder if we're progressing at all in the search for a cure. Guest guest
Yes, it is strong stuff, and it can be substantiated. See 3.1 next - however I would advise anyone starting out to begin at the beginning with the Preface. It can make depressing reading as well. I am working on converting the rest of the book as fast as possible to demonstrate my undertanding there is some hope up ahead. But as for a "cure" - I don't think so. The best we can hope for are more viable treatments based on a modelof cancer initiation - promotion - progression that accurately identifies the main cellular processes. When we are able to identify the first cause we can work toward secondary and tertiary prevention of promotional and progressive factors. With the proper understanding of its biological roots, we can turn even fatal prostate cancer into a chronic condition, but I don't think we will cure it as such. Prevention is the best cure, and I do not mean community chemoprevention with finasteride or dutasteride either !If it also sounds like pretentious stuff, then respectively - whoever is bothered by it - provide an evidence based alternative. Guest guest
This is a big leap for many of us Sammy I know it has worked for you, the question is how your concepts can be main stream tested. Did you get anywhere with the Prostate Cancer Federation or other groups in the UK? Who will put money into the required trials?
