Haven't tried PT yet-probably should. I do have a referral from

Haefner from Sept. I go to the Dr. so much - between my daughter

and my appts - never found the time.

also. I did 14 weeks of the lidocaine cotten ball treatment at

bedtime. When all was said and done, it didn't do anything for me.

It numbed the area but I was sleeping anyway. It turned out being

something I checked off the list.

I bought it from www.canadapharmacy. OTC. It only took a few days to receive

it. They also have EMLA.

They also charged $10.00 for shipping which included some other items.

1 XYLOCAINE 5% Ointment 35 grams $19.99

They shipped the Astra Zeneca brand but I just checked and they say it is not

available at this time. They do have another brand which they sell for $19.99

for 15 grams. Maxilene (Lidocaine) Manufacturer: Ferndale Laboratories

Check at:

You might have to get another referral, I think they are only good for like

60 days, at least for my university HMO, turns out that they regard pelvic

floor issues as CHRONIC, meaning that they don't want to pay for PT, so

they pay for my initial visit, and now I have to wait and see if they will

approve me for more visits, and of course it is the insurance, not my

doctor who decides this, this is such BS, when I went to PT for a running

injury it was automatic, 6 weeks, anyways, I would suggest going as it

really doesn't seem to be that much time, in a few visits she can teach you

what to do on your own at home, I found it useful in that it provides a way

of dealing with the pain, and maybe progressing to sex, it just is

upsetting that my other doctor never suggested it in the last four years,

yes I don't think PT will get rid of all my pain, but it would have helped

deal with it while I was a Guinea pig with the medications, though it was

strange looking through my purse for my keys afterwards when she had given

me a ton of lubricant packages!! at this point, sex with a tolerable amount

of pain, outweighed by the pleasure that is, would be heaven, I never

thought my sex life would evolve around oral..and since Christmas...anal

(yuck!!), but what is a young woman to do?? I'd give PT a try, Anne
