APPLICATIONS FOR NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE FOR YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES

NOW AVAILABLE

The President's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities has

applications for the National Leadership Conference for Youth with

Disabilities available. The conference is a yearly gathering of young

people with disabilities age 18-24 who are chosen competitively. Full

scholarships including travel are offered to the participants who are

selected. They learn leadership skills, meet with their elected

representatives, explore national policies affecting their lives, and

network. The conference will take place at a hotel in the Washington D.C.

area from June 24 through 28, 2000.

Applications are available at the E-mail address for the application. They

can be downloaded at its Internet location. Call if you have

difficulty downloading the application or if you want a hard copy mailed to

you. Application deadline is April 15, 2000. For further information about

the conference itself, call Dale S. Brown, the President's Committee staff

contact at ext. 30.
