Guest guest
Rhiannon, I have nothing in my brain reserved for them. When you find something out, let us know so that I can send them a bill for a storage fee in my brain. lol Dustie > Has anyone ever used Chip or Chips? Also, has anyone ever heard of > Amerigroup? Guest guest
Oh, wish I'd seen this message earlier. Ok, yes, my eldest daughter is on CHIP, Moira is on Medicaid, but both are with Amerigroup, and yes, they are covering the band, under Medicaid anyway, 100%. Not sure how much they cover under CHIP, but check and see. I bet they cover it to some extent, anyway. Hope that helps! Caro, Baby Mo's Mom > Has anyone ever used Chip or Chips? Guest guest
I just looked up in my daughters Amerigroup Member Handbook, and it does cover DME & orthotics, so I would think if it's covered under Medicaid, it will probably be covered under the CHIP program, as well. Except for the fact that I can't find a very good ped. on their list in this area, it's really worked great for us! I doubt my girls will qualify for Medicaid and/or CHIP once their plans end, but they've been lifesavers while we've had them! You will need to pick a PCP ped. from their list, get a referral to a specialist, and then get a referral for the band. You do have to go through the red tape, but it didn't take that long at all for us! Hope it works for you! Caro, Baby Mo's Mom > Has anyone ever used Chip or Chips? Guest guest
Has anyone tried one of those hot wax machines. You know the kind that melts the wax and then you put your hands in? I wonder if it will help my hands any, but would like some input before I buy one. Thanks in advance. Joanne
Guest guest
I don't have one or need one but on another board I follow there are several people who have received good results with them and recommend them highly. I can't remember any negative comments about them. God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: mungeetwo Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Saturday, August 07, 2004 12:20 PM Subject: Got a question... Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I don't have one myself, but my hair dresser had me try one while I was in for a hair cut one time - it felt wonderful since the hot wax keeps the heat in and around your hands. They seem to come in all price ranges, so it doesn't seem like you have to spend a lot to get one. However, I have read that you shouldn't use it if you have open cuts on your hands, which I usually do........ Beth > Has anyone tried one of those hot wax machines. Guest guest
My husband bought me one for Christmas, bless his heart. It felt wonderful on my hands. Eased the pain somewhat and was most comforting. I would recommend their use for anyone who has hand pain. Guest guest
I have a hot wax machine. It feels great, but it doesn't really help in the long run. I use it on my hands - the only problem is it takes so long to get it going - about 6 hours or so? But it still feels good for the few minutes you have your hands soaking in that hot wax. gloria
Guest guest
I have tried hot wax machine a few times at a therapy place and it feels really good. It is temporary, but feels good. Guest guest
It maybe temporary, but oh what a feeling..................... Ray p.s. Also about every two weeks I treat myself to a pedicure spa. They know me so thier very carefull when they massage my feet but the machine itself is worth it. Sometimes if thier not busy they will let me soak my feet in the very nice warm to hot water with the jets on. (and before you ask, Yes I get polish on them, but clear..) The polish also keeps my nails stronger. they seem so brittle anymore. > Has anyone tried one of those hot wax machines. You know the kind > that melts the wax and then you put your hands in?
