Hi Helen!

IIRC (If I recall correctly) there is a list of the acronyms at the NCT

egroup website on shared files, which should help you .... SAHM = Stay at

home mother

DH= (Dear,darling....whatever) Husband , DM=Dear Mother, MIL=mother in law

DD1 = Dear daughter 1 ....etc

URU is one peculiar to our lists = UK Office (Ute-R-Us)!

This website has loads more if you want more brain overload!

HTH (Hope this helps)

SAHM is Stay At Home Mother (generally with no other work than kids and

house, as if that weren't enough!)

WAHM is Work AHM

WOHM is Work Outside the Home Mum

DH is Darling (or d***) Husband

DM (I'm not sure, don't remember the context) might be Darling Mother?

I've been told the list of abbreviations is on shared files, but it must

be the files for another NCT group, since I haven't seen them here and

it's my only NCT group. Can anyone who knows where these are copy them to

this group's files as well? TIA (Thanks in Advance)

Phyllis (egroup junkie, also with bad cold and just want to sleep all day,

if only my little snotty, drooly, adorable child - Calvin, born 1/1/00 -

would let me)

As I'm new to this list can I ask some daft questions about

abbreviations?

Some I've sussed out from reading the past few days worth of messages,

but

what's a SAHM when she's at home(I'm sure I'll kick myself when told

but

I've had a bad cold and my brain isn't in gear yet). Also DH and DM?
