Guest guest
I have also had friends that have had kids that were little monsters. I can say i am not a perfect mom but i have some damn good kids. I always set rules for my friends kids. I told my friends that i value their friendship but their kids have to go by my rules in my house. If they didn't like they didn't value my friendship and i could do without theirs then. Having 5 kids i sure don't need to have monsters around too. lol
Guest guest
June, It is not your age. I have a dear friend that had the brattiest kids I ever knew. Our kids were the same age, and it got so bad that I had to make excuses to keep our kids apart. Our opinions on raising kids were so different, and my kids thought I was just an ogre and to strict. It is easier to let your kids run wild than it is to correct them. I'm sorry your computer was attacked by a brat virus!!! Trauma and inflammatory arthritis have been high on my interest list since it was trauma that started all my problems and Im sero negative for RA. It is very interesting that so many of us have had symptoms start as a result of trauma. a ----- Original Message ----- From: JUNE <juner24@...> onelist < egroups> Sent: Thursday, June 08, 2000 6:17 PM Subject: [ ] I'm Back > Hi a and everyone. Guest guest
Hi Tery, Thank you for your message and your prayers on candle day. I think candle day is so special, unique to a special group. I have been on Meth for 2 years and I take 4 pills a week. Now they think it wasn't the meth but the clinoril. I am suppose to start the metho up again but for now I am afraid. I still feel awful, so I think I should wait. Guest guest
e, Sorry to hear about your medical issues, esp. with your bones, that sucks big time. But we are so glad that you are ok and your attitude seems good. I am sorry you hate it so much there in AZ I know so many people love it there, but for me it would be too hot, and I need the green around me, even Idaho is not as green as where I came from in Ca but still I love Idaho too now. well take care and keep us up to date. We all care so much about you. Hugs ----- Original Message ----- From: e Rene Sent: Tuesday, August 06, 2002 6:50 PM Subject: I'm back Hi everyone, No, I didn't stay in Denver, although I did just get back last night. I couldn't bare to leave on Sat, so I changed my tickets to leave Mon night. It took every ounce of willpower in my body to get back on that plane. And now I'm back in this godforsaken place they call Tucson. Being back in Denver made me realize how much I love Denver, and just how mystical and magical Denver is. And how green it is. And how much cooler the weather is. And how much more culture there is. And how much more fun it is. And how much more tres chic it is. I could go on and on. Unfortunately, the cost of living in Denver is still outrageous, but in my mind, it is all worth it. I did get some bad news from my neurosurgeon while I was there. There is some lucency at the C6-7 level, which is indicating that the fusion is not taking. He can't say it's a non-union yet, because it still may fuse. But still, it upset me quite a bit. So, he wants to do everything possible to encourage the fusion. He wants me to have a bone stimulator, so I met with the rep on Fri and was actually given the unit, but there is no approval yet from my insurance company. They think it will be approved, but as I've found out the hard way, even prior auth/precert doesn't mean anything. I told this rep that I would not pay for anything because I am trying to pay off my other medical bills. He told me that whatever United Healthcare doesn't pay, he will write off. When I asked him what would happen if United denied it, he said that he would write it up as an "indigent" unit, and I would not be charged for anything. I had my neurosurgeon, his NP, and the office receptionist there to witness what he said. Dr. Levy also wants me to begin Actonel, and I have to start a calcium/Mg supplement. My bones are so soft and osteoporosis has set in---at the age of 32! Anyway, now I have to worry about this fusion failing yet again. The fusion at C4-5 is actually solidly fused, which was the first time that level has been operated on, but it's the C6-7 that is not fusing, and that is one of the levels that was done 2 yrs ago. I guess the bone is just fried. So, if I'm not back in Denver permanently by the fall, then I have to fly back (oh darn!) in Nov to see my neurosurgeon. If this fusion fails, the outlook is pretty bleak. Either more surgery or be VERY careful because the whole construct can collapse and cause immediate and permanent paralysis. I just hope that the bone stimulator, along with the Actonel and calcium/mg will work. Well, I start my new job next Mon. I'm actually looking forward to it. And I have a phone interview tomorrow for a PACU position at one of the hospitals in Denver. Come hell or high water, I will get back to Denver.. My goal is to be back there by Jan 31. We'll see if I can accomplish that. But the wk I had in Denver was so relaxing and just wonderful. Even with bad news, I was able to enjoy myself and relax, which I haven't been able to do in a long time
Guest guest
e: Hi. Welcome back. I really hope you get a job in Denver. You need to be where your heart is. I think Tucson kind of sux too. I like the sdale area but I'm not keen on either Tucson or (especially) Phoenix. I'm looking into visiting Boulder in the near future. It's been over two years since I've been to that area and I miss it too. I'm glad to hear that you're doing well. LM

I can't tell you how much stuff I threw out this summer and was just ready to quit when I finally tried boiling my water & salt first. It worked!!! I just made the BEST pickles in the world. Here's the recipe if anyone wants to try them: > > It makes 2 gallons: > 4 qts. water > 1 c. raw cider vinegar > 1/2 c. unrefined sea salt > 8 lg. heads of dill > 4-8 cloves garlic, washed & chopped > 12-24 grape leaves > > Boil water & salt & let cool. Place a bed of grape leaves at bottom of jars. Put whole well-washed with stems removed cukes in jars layering with dill and garlic. (If you want them done QUICK, like in 1 day, you can slice the cukes into rounds or spears.) Add cider vinegar to cooled brine and pour over cukes to cover well. Put another layer of grape leaves on top and weight down with a clean rock if necessary. Cover with pillow-case cloth and a rubberband and put in a cool place. Ready in 3-5 days if whole, slices are done in 1 day. Taste everyday. Refrigerate the leftovers if there are any. > > This recipe tastes similar to Claussen Kosher Dills but BETTER!!! > > One last thing.. Desparetely need some inspiration to get healthy. Diet gone way of track lately and suffering badly from carpel tunnel and sciatica. I know they will be alleviated by going as far raw as I can which is what I want to achieve this week if possible because I can't function like this anymore. Thanks for all the yummy sounding receipes you posted in April haven't gone back any further yet but will print those. Going to find some local fresh produce today as much as I can. Looking forward to getting back into the dailies when I can. Suzi What is a weed? I interview for this new job on Friday...and if I don't get it...I will simply start pursuing other employment in the district because I will definitely know my place there at the school. I just know that I cannot handle living this way.Sorry I am just a little bit down about all of this frustration. I had thought I was past all of this money struggles...and had moved on to bigger and better things...but I guess I just will have to keep my prayers going and know that I have put it in God's hands and He will not let me down.I just wanted to let you all know that I am back online again...for the moment...at least while I have power...lol.Caroline -- No virus found in this outgoing message.Checked by AVG Free Edition.Version: 7.1.407 / Virus Database: 268.12.12/462 - Release Date: 10/3/2006
