Guest guest
I have discovered that massaging my wrists and hands first thing in the morning really makes a difference in how fast the stiffness goes away. Has anyone else seen this? I am so new to this. First thing in the morning, when the splints first come off, my hands and wrists are really sore and stiff. Massaging really seems to help. Has anyone else seen this? Yes--I do self-massage most mornings (beginning with my feet before I stand up). Hands, too. I began doing it instinctively, but recently have seen this recommended as part of " restoring vata balance " in the ayurvedic healing system, and have begun to do a full body self massage with warm sesame oil (said to have anti-inflammatory effect) in the bathroom before my shower. Then I put on some loose (old) p.j.s and have breakfast while the oil sinks in (about 15 min.) Then I shower. I find it helpful.
