Guest guest
Just FYI, here's a site with story's of survivors who've used antidepressants (of various kinds) and some of their side effects. It might scare you to death though so fair warning. http://www.drugawareness.org/Archives/Survivors/survivor_index.html But I am assuming most of these were likely on a higher dosage for depression etc. and probably not used for pain but is something to consider or I should say "I" sure would. A few years ago I went on a low dose of Zyban (wellbutrin) and had researched it thoroughly and it was supposedly one with the least side effects, to try to quit smoking and I never had such a severe reaction to anything so fast. After only trying it for 2 weeks (at my docs insistance) the depression, weeping and emotional reactions were unbelieveable. (talk about throwing one 'into' a depression, WOW).. and it took 2 months to normalize after I stopped it. And.... by the way it did nothing for the smoking. Of course I know that was short term usage too, But with the hell it was, the smoking was better for me I think. I've a brother (one of four) who's a zombie & has been on them for years and is so bad he can never get off as now it's moved to 4 or 5 different pills daily. *sigh* (one to combat the side effects of this one and another one for that side effect and on and on it goes) so I know of them from a personal aspect as well as a friend who went 'postal' while being on them so it's likely why 'I' am so cautious as well as reading so much. I know we're all different and we react to things differently and some feel they've been life savers and thank goodness for them, and of course that pain can drive one crazy too, but when you're playing with the mind & brain, that IS serious stuff and all of those do affect the mind one way or another no matter which one it is. Just something to consider and no offense meant at all to anyone who's on them and it's helped, it's just my opinion thats' all. Guest guest
<Lots of women use them with only minor reactions (dry mouth) small price to pay for a resumed pain free sex life if you ask me. > HI Jess, I would agree IF that was the only side effect but unfortunately very few have that as the 'only' side effect and not so sure they're all having pain free sex either. (hopefully tho it is helping with the pain) but better to have the knowledge than be in the dark I feel (about anything) and one can choose to ignore it that's all hon, and no offense taken,it was just'my'opinion.
