I'm not sure of how many things you eat that aren't allowed for Migraine Headaches sufferers. When I followed this diet for apporoximately 2 years, I didn't miss most of the food on the list because I never like it/ated from the start. The first few weeks or 1-2 months, it's going to be pretty tough! I know you can do it! It gets easier on the 3rd month. After 8-9 months or so, you can re-introduce the Non Allowed foods in your diet to see if they still bother you, if they do, try to substituted with something else I Hope this Helps Irene Foods Allowed: Beverages: Decaffeinated coffee, fruit juice, club soda, non cola soda. Limit 2 cups per day (coffee, tea, or cola) Meats, Fish & Poultry: Fresh or Frozen turkey, chicken, fish, beef, lamb, veal, pork. Limit 3 egges per week. Tuna or Tuna Salad Dairy Produces: Milk: Homogenized, 2% or skim. Cheese: American, cottage, farmer, ricotta, cream, Canadaian processed cheese slice. Yogurt (Limit 1/2 cup per day) Breads/Cereals: Commercial Bread, English muffins, Melba toast, crackers, bagels. All hot and dry cereals Potato or Substitute Vegetables: White potato, sweet potato, rice, macaroni, spaghetti, noodles. Any except those to avoid Fruits: Any except those to avoid. Limit cirrus fruits to 1/2 cupper day 1 orange Limit banana to 1/2 per day Soups: Cream Soups, made from foods allowed in the diet. Homemade broths Desserts: Any cake or cookies without chocolate, nuts or yeast Any pudding or ice cream without nuts or chocolate Flavored Gelatin Sweets: Sugar, jelly, jam, honey, hard candy Miscellanneous: Salt in moderation, lemon juice, butter or margarine, cooking oil, whipped cream, white vinegar, commercial salad dressings Foods to Avoid: Chocolate, cocoa, certain alcoholic beverages (red wine, port, cherry, scotch, bourbon, gin) Excessive Nutrasweet (no more than 24oz/day of diet drink Aged, canned, cured or processed meats, including ham or game, pickled herring, salad and dried fish, chicken liver, bologogna fermented sausage Any food containing nitrates or tyramine (smoked meats including bacon, sausage, ham, salami, peperoni, hot dogs Buttermilk, sour cream, chocolate milk Cheese: Stilton, bleu, cheddar, mozarella, cheese spread, roquefort, provolone, gruyere, muenster, feta, parmesan, emmenthal, brie, brick, camembert types, gouda and romano Crackers containing cheese. Fresh yeast containing bread, coffee, cake, doughnuts Beans such as pole, broad, Lima, Italian, Fava, navy, pinto, garbanzo Snow Peas, pea pods, sauerkraut, onions (except for flavoring), olives pickles Avocado, figs, raisins, papaya, passion fruit and red plums Canned soup, soup or bouillon cubes, soup base with yeast or MSG (read labels) Any products containing chocolate, including ice cream, pudding, cookies, cake or pies Mincemeat pie Chocolate candy or syrup, carob Pizza, cheese sauce, MSG, in excessive amounts (including Chinese food and Accent) Yeast, yeast extract, meat, tenderizer, seasoned salt Mixed dishes (including macaroni and cheese, beef stroganoff, cheese blintzes, Lasagna, frozen TV dinners.
