Guest guest
Hi everyone. With 's surgery just around the corner (9/28), I am wondering if I should have had the slides reviewed by another lab. We did have the slides sent to Fox Chase and they reviewed 2 samples and verified the results. They said that is their procedure - only check 2 samples. There may not be time, but I was wondering if it is still necessary to get a second opinion on the biopsy slides. As always, thanks for your input! Guest guest
Thanks Terry. I'm going to call a couple of labs today to see if any can accomodate our short schedule. I thought about doing this earlier, but my husband did not see the need. I'd kind of feel better having it - the more information the better. Thanks again! Guest guest
Hi Terry. Do you know if they need the tissue blocks to perform the ploidy analysis? When I spoke to the lab, I told them I wanted to have that done and that we were having the slides sent - they did not request the tissue blocks. Guest guest
Sorry for the delayed response, Sandy. I overlooked your mail. Maybe that was because I didn’t know the answer. I’d guess if they didn’t ask for the blocks they can do the analysis with the slides.
