I started the diet on Monday. I doubt I can handle grape juice at all, although I may be able to flavor water with it. I diluted it and experienced low blood sugar symptoms.

By Tuesday night I was detoxing too fast, and felt as if I had the flu, hot and cold, feeling toxic and dizzy, etc. Same Wed. morning.

My detox system is very compromised and I have to be careful not to detox too fast. So yesterday before I started travelling, I cooked some squash and ate a small amount. That helped a little.

I had an IV yesterday so now it will be difficult to tell what is going on. I think what was in it was a high amount of glutathione (I've been working on increasing glutathione for many years) and small amounts of a few minerals. I'm okay, but I'm detoxing some. Otherwise, better as far as energy, because of the IV and perhaps because of the diet.

Last week I started to notice a few pollen allergy symptoms, since we are experiencing an early spring. I know that grains can affect hayfever. I'm not sure if rice does or not. My pollen allergies are usually under control compared to my friends who eat wheat. However, I don't have access to desensitization serum, so yesterday I got a homeopathic remedy, in case I need it.

I don't seem to be having any trouble with BMs, so that's a relief, because I thought I might on the diet.

I did have some shakiness as a result of the grape juice and egg/curd. I know I likely should not have tried! I may try again soon now that I've had the IV and am upping my thyroid.

I got some throat sensations related to green beans and to spinach, I think. The green beans were not organic, so I need to wait until I can find organic green beans. Perhaps I've never tolerated spinach well, but whatever, a friend muscle-tested me yesterday and sure enough I'm not tolerating spinach, at the moment.

Food sensitivities can be strange sometimes and depend on a lot of factors. Ideally I'd like to get enough "good" foods so that I can start rotating them; otherwise, I may lose more.

Sometimes I react to foods several hours later or even the next day.

I know that over the last few years I've purposely 'masked' some of my foods so that it was easier for me to eat a variety of foods. Now, of course, I'm once more 'unmasking'. Is that a term you're familiar with?

At this point:

Good -- sole, carrots, zucchini, squash, 100% organic lemon concentrate in water (very little)

Questionable -- green beans (might just need organic), chicken and turkey (but I feel as if I can't lose these!), broth, pearsauce (might be okay), 1/2 banana (might be okay but not good for blood sugar?)

Likely not good -- grape juice, spinach, eggs, dairy

I realize I'm going too fast, and I'll try to reduce my speed of testing. It was tempting for me to try the grape juice, eggs, and curds, but likely not good for someone with food sensitivities.

I may have lost 4.5 pounds.

I feel as if I'm going to need to be careful about the detox. I've heard too, that when a person has allergies and food/chemical sensitivities, it is important not to fast. I realize I'm eating and not fasting, but I may need to monitor things carefully so my system can handle the detox.

I may be wrong, but I think I have a fairly good handle on what is a reaction to food and what is detox, even though they can be similar.

Oh, I went off all my nutritional supplements until Tuesday evening but then I knew I needed to add them back in in order to be able to get through the day travelling on Wed. I think that I was missing the Bs and the ChondroCare product I'm on. I had way too much pain in my muscles and I may have started going into depression. I think that I'll still take supplements until I can sort out if any of them are bothering me or not. I may need to rely on muscle testing for awhile, but I'll check the ingredients. I think all of my supplements are wheat-free, soy-free, dairy-free, etc.

I had already reduced my enzymes and had gone off betaine before the diet. Oh, I've been drinking a little lemon flavored water which does help my digestion.

The neatest thing is that my BMs are great. They usually are good, but I can go through times when I'll have some D or maybe even C. I'm so much better than when I was growing up or when I was living as a young adult in Mexico and the Philippines.

I did talk over with my ND about getting a comprehensive stool test or maybe the antibody candida test, but we never got our act together yesterday fast enough, so I won't be doing any testing for a bit. Maybe in April. I need to study and pray about the different tests and see if I want to "waste" money on them or not. I guess my main purpose would be to see if I still have candida or not, and then check in a couple of years to see what the difference is.

thanks for all your help,

Louise
