I don't think anyone would say that we have a perfect answer to PCa. I long for a universally accepted test to tell between agressive and almost dormant PCas. Extensive research still needs to be done. Much more money has been poured into breast cancer, including screening, yet they haven't found the holy grail.

Non of the radical treatments on offer are guaranteed side effect free, it is always a matter of weighing one thing against another, pros against cons.

I know there are other papers that offer a more postive view and it is said that 75% cancers caught early can be "cured" to a level of no biological recurrence.

We are where we are, your ideas should go into the research pot, to be double checked and thus can receive higher evidence based reporting on patients.

Erratum for Kathy Meade

This passage will now replace the comment on p. 6 section: In search of interesting truth*

The American College of Physicians, a leading medical professional body announced in 2008 what clearly amounts to a damning criticism. Despite it being the most common male only cancer, with nearly a century of research behind it, its cause is still unknown and the ability to prescribe effective treatment is no better.

"Assessment of the comparative effectiveness and harms of localized prostate cancer treatments is difficult because of limitations in the evidence." (7)

I note that, according to the American College of Physicians, the

cause of prostate cancer is " unknown " .

They don't say that the cause is fetal estrogen imprinting, or

fat in the diet, or eating dairy foods, or smoking, or any other

specific cause that has been proposed.

One of the problems we have to guard against is taking the

pronouncements of some person or organization as authoritative

when they agree with our own ideas, but ignoring or rejecting

them when the don't.

Just tossing the ball back and forth gets us nowhere. I have suggested a first

cause and I have made ecological predictions based on that. Time will tell. Sam.
