Hello Nita,I joined the list last week. I don't imagine I feel much better than you.I was diagnosed with RA about four years ago. First I was diagnosedwith Rheumatism in 1977. I haven't been to a Rheumatologist yet asI will have to go to Dallas and I don't do Dallas traffic. Those peopleup there will run over you . I am going to a DO and he hashelped me somewhat. The next closest Rheumatologist is in Wacowhich is about 60 miles away........Besides me, I have four cats. One is 11 yrs old another 9 yrs old, a kitten 4 months old and theyoungest is about 10 weeks old. Now those two youngest ones are rounders. There is nothing like waking up in the middle of thenight with two kittens wrestling on your chest..........Joyce----- Original Message ----- From: "Nita" <TheFunFrug@...><Rheumatoid Arthritis >Sent: Wednesday, August 25, 2004 3:17 PMSubject: Today I feel like roadkill in a dress...I hope all of you feel better than me. Where did everyone go? Hopefully, good things are happening.Think positively...when you're lying on your back in a ditch, things can only go up from there.Hugs,Nita

I can tell you, from the other side of the road, it's a great life and it's

great to hear what good kids I have.

I have done AP (attachment parenting) since the beginning. I was the weird

one who didn't let her baby cry it out, who held her when she wanted to be

held, who nursed on demand, who even got a bottle on demand, who got a mom

who stayed home with her and played with her and I did everything w/ my

kids. I took them everywhere. I slung my 3rd, all day, every day. (can you

tell I had kids while I was young enough to have all the energy and good

back!?).

I still do quite a bit of AP but I am not on the floor with them so much..

kills my back now.. but my older kids.. you can see where I am getting a

good pay out and I was the " weird " one then.

Even though then I was a vaxxing mom (not on time by any means but I did do

them).. and I was still weird.

For every decision in life, big and little, you will always, always, always

be able to find those who agree and disagree. So what do you do? live life

always checking with someone and then doing? Or making up your own mind and

doing what is good for YOU because it's YOUR life and YOU are the parent of

YOUR child. Good or bad..it's your decision. I don't agree with parents who

smoke in front of their kids where their little bodies get those toxins..but

they obviously think it's OK or they wouldn't do it. I agree that a kids

first food shouldn't be formula.. but I was reading something and it was

saying 'well you wouldn't come home from the hospital with a new baby and

not have formula and bottles " ..and I'm thinking " yeah I would. I wouldn't

use them if I had them anyway " .. can't remember what the point was of the

article but see? life is like that.

And I'm here to tell you, WEIRD is very relative! And sometimes the

relatives ARE weird ;)
