A little comment on the poll: When I was first diagnosed I was pretty shocked and, after hearing that I had cancer, wasn't really very sure of what the doctor said after that. I think he tried to tell me the options as he considered them, and probably gave me what he considered his best advice. Later, after learning more, I concluded that it was not the best advice.
