Guest guest
Terri. I dont know where you live but, the dollar tree here sells nice " pretty " blank books . I did start to write in it about my kids....and then......you know life took over and NO TIME..hope you have one near you, Heidi Guisewite I don't know how many of you are fans like I am, but I am completely in love with that cartoon. I think Guisewite has the normal, average woman down-pat, and I, for one, am always empathizing with ! Whenever I read (or re-read as I have the whole collection!) one of her books, I always find myself laughing, wincing, etc. right along with her! The point of this e-mail ... my latest " " adventure ... this evening, as I went to buy the Corinne T. Netzer book, I saw these pretty blank books, or journals, in which one can write. Well, first of all, I know myself pretty darn well and I know that I will probably never use this pretty book, or if I start, it will just be a fad and be put aside like all the others! Second of all, we are (supposed to be) saving every penny for our down payment (closing is coming up within a couple of months) so I should not be spending $11.99 plus tax on this pretty book I'll never use! HOWEVER, as so often asserts in her cartoons, especially to her self and to her mother, " if I just buy this pretty journal, I'll write in it every day! " or " if I just buy these pretty closet organizers, I'll really organize my closet this time! " , etc... So, I honestly thought of and those instances n the cartoons as I debated whether to buy this journal, then as I was paying for it! I really thought to myself that if I buy this pretty book, maybe I'll actually use it once I start this new WOL! I just had to share, since it KIND OF had to do with the diet ... in a round-about way! Guest guest
Terri, Maybe you could use the pretty book as a food and exercise journal? I've just started keeping one myself in a regular notebook. But having a pretty book to write it would be incentive to keep it up. Plus, it would help you to keep a watch on your foods and activities. I'm doing it hoping to notice something that may be causing these stalls.
