Guest guest
I would call back and ask for a copy of the lab report. Perhaps because they wouldn't want you to look at it without interpretation a doctor would be more motivated to call and give you the results in brief. Guest guest
Hi , I would insist on having a copy, but the Dr. is OVER 1 1/2 hrs away from me...I did not think it was going to be such an issue when they are the ones that told me to call! Only to find out the first time it is negative, then today several positives??? Does anyone know what this means? Several positives? From the research I have done, there are only 5-6 components to the ANA profile test... Is this right? I will call in the morning and have my results faxed to me! But I still will not know what it means! Carla
Guest guest
That seems to be a very confused doctor's office and I hope your next doctor runs a better office (assuming that you are going to change doctors after this fiasco). On the positive side, it can't be very urgent if the appointment with the rheumatologist is not till August 8. My conclusion is that there is something the doctor thinks would best be looked at by the Rheumatologist, but there is no critical hurry. I have no explanation for the urgent phone call followed by a refusal to give you any information. It sounds like a loony bin. God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: mizzcrabbyazz Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Monday, July 12, 2004 6:00 PM Subject: ANA results Hello everyone,I hope this finds everyone doing well. I am just dazed and confused to say the least. Maybe someone can help me. Guest guest
It sure confused me! I just dont know what the big issue is in not telling me...the Dr's office that I talked to is the office that requested the ANA be done, but now they are saying I have to wait to talk to a completely different doctor to get the results? Yes, I agree that it must not be too terribly urgent, but seeing me the 9th instead of the 26th (nothing else available between now and the 9th, the doc is going on a 2 week vacation, then has to play catchup)..so the girl said. My requests to have lab report copies mailed or faxed to my home have always been immediately honored--by several different doctor offices. (At no fee.) S.
