Guest guest
MO, I sure do miss your humor! And, hey, I have doubles plus the negatives of those sangria pictures...if I have to pay Walgreens big bucks to get them on CD so I can copy them to all, I will....so please, let me save my money for this months Tobi, ok? Just scan 'em right in....hehehe hows that for a guilt trip. Besides, you just mistyped....it was the pictures of all your chia pets that for some reason didn't turn out. And I took so many, surely one would have turned out. Afterall, a record 50 chia pets in one minivan is a picture event! Didn't you think that several of the closeups of your kiddos were terrific? Even Becca who hates the attention... BTW, I asked the photo developer why those chia pictures didn't turn out. He said something about chias being the same as ghosts....they just don't show up in pictures. Weird, huh? Janet, Thank you for pointing out about bacteria carrying snot suckers!! God forbid we should introduce something new to any of the kiddos. Here in our state they give every new parent their very own brand new snot sucker to go home with their newborn, " ain't that sweet? " (hehehe) right along with the classical music tape from the governor (equally " sweet " --they used my tax dollars for that!!!) Anyway, all our docs are big believers in the snot suckers. And when Mallory was on the nasal cannula oxygen as a baby, we had to get the snot out before the oxygen could get in. But, we always used the appropriate cleaning method--and we only suck out, we don't use that bulb syringe to put anything in the nose....(for that we have saline nose spray) But now I wonder.....is it bad to use the same saline nose spray, or flonase, etc over and over again, or can that cause re-infection, too? Anyway, no worries about the bulb syringe or ANYTHING ELSE being shared in our house. One of my staff recently told me that I need to practice " normalization " in my own home (this is where we tell staff that it is bad to do anything institutional in our group homes, like serve up all the plates vs family style dining, labeling all the socks, etc) At our house, everything is labeled, we have an overabundance of sharpies....as a result, already can recognize his own neb cup and flonase, etc, even Mallory can (ok, so we cheat....we use two different colored sharpies to label their stuff since Mallory can't read yet) Ok, enough on that! take care, all Jen
