Guest guest
Hello everyone, I hope this finds everyone doing well. I am just dazed and confused to say the least. Maybe someone can help me. Last Thursday, I called my Dr. office, and I asked if my ANA results were in, and she said they were, and then came back to the phone, and said the results were negative, but to call back Monday to talk to the Dr. to see about the rheumy appt. So I called today, and a different girl answered, and I asked about my appt, and if I could talk to the Dr. she said " oh yeah, the Dr. just said a few min ago that he needs you to get in to see the rheumy sooner than the 26th " I was like... " Why, is there a problem " ? " I was told Thursday that the results were negative " She said she would have the Dr. talk to me about it, and for me to call back in 1 hr or so...So I did. The nurse talked to me this time, and asked.. " Hasnt anyone gone over your ANA lab work with you yet " ? I said no, but I was told last week that it was negative...She said to me... " I am hold ing your chart, I do not know what the codes are, but I can tell you there is SEVERAL positives...I was like...Find out what is positive, please! She then asked me to call back yet again, and she would let me know...so I called back like she asked, and all she told me was... " I do not know what the codes are, or what they mean, but there are several positives on this labwork..when I insisted, she told me that the rheumatologist wanted to see me on the 9th of Aug, and that he would discuss the results with me then!! ARGH!! Why did she say anything at all...Is my Dr. of THAT office not able to discuss my results? Can anyone explain to me what they think? What does several positives mean? I already have 5 of the 11 criteria for Lupus, and I do not appreciate the nurse telling me that there was positives on my ANA lab work, then not being able to let me know what MY OWN lab results ARE!!!! Comments?? Please... Carla
