Guest guest
http://www.cancernetwork.com/news/display/article/10165/1701568 I wonder why they don't do this with another cancer as the model? Maybe because not many men are active as advocates? When they suggested raising the breast cancer age to 50 they had over 30,000 signatures on a petition in a week. We have 3,000 signatures on the NFL petitions in three weeks. Many of those signatures are from women. Some of you have signed but how many have not? If you have signed have you asked friends to sign? I got the man who came to the house to check for termites to sign and he is about 30. He thought it was a great idea and now he is a little more aware of diet, exercise and talking to his doctor when he gets older. It was about a three minute conversation. The Virginia Prostate Cancer Coalition supports the Prostate Cancer Foundation in their appeal to the NFL. Please take a minute now to add your name to one of the petitions. We thank you for caring. Dan Zenka and the Prostate Cancer Foundation have set up two online petitions asking the National Football League (NFL) to " step up " and support the cause for prostate cancer. The NFL does a great job of supporting breast cancer during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (in October). In 2011 let's get NFL players in light blue during National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month (September). Sign on to one of the two online petitions to let the football community know that there is support behind this request. If you have a Facebook account, click here to use the Facebook petition. If you prefer not to go through Facebook, just add your signature here. (There's no need to donate once your signature is added.) http://vapcacoalition.org/ While you are on the VPCC website, take a few minutes to read Fred Gersh's article To Advocate or not to Advocate: IS THAT the Question?
