Guest guest
Ok, I had them fax me the copies, and as far as the ANA, it was all negative except one..the Sm RNP Antibody,IGG that was positive. The refernce range for that is: 16 EU/ML negative 16-20 EU/ML inconclusive 20 EU/ML positive Well folks...Mine was more than doubled at 43.9 Anyone have a similiar reading? Findings? Hugs...Carla > That seems to be a very confused doctor's office and I hope your next doctor runs a better office (assuming that you are going to change doctors after this fiasco). On the positive side, it can't be very urgent if the appointment with the rheumatologist is not till August 8. My conclusion is that there is something the doctor thinks would best be looked at by the Rheumatologist, but there is no critical hurry. I have no explanation for the urgent phone call followed by a refusal to give you any information. It sounds like a loony bin. Guest guest
I've not heard of this before but I did a Google search and came up with http://www.bio-quant.com/inserts/autoimmune/BQ_038G.pdf that says to me that it is a test for suspected SLE. My guess is that it is not conclusive but would warrant further examination to make a diagnosis. If it is Lupus, I think early and aggressive treatment is warranted, but it is not an emergency. My understanding is that most doctors just watch lab results for a trend until they get to about three times the upper limit. I think it's like an amber warning light instead of a red alarm light. God bless. PS If you need more information I'll be glad to try to look up more for you. hvantuyl@... ----- Original Message ----- From: mizzcrabbyazz Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Tuesday, July 13, 2004 9:01 AM Subject: ANA results received Ok, I had them fax me the copies, and as far as the ANA, it was all negative except one..the Sm RNP Antibody,IGG that was positive.
