Guest guest
Hello, everyone. An awful lot of people seem to be having a hard time at the moment, or may be we are getting better at sharing! I must say it helps me to realise other people are having similar problems, although I do wish they didn't have to. I have had to stop methotrexate temporarily, to try to get rid of a chronic ear nose and throat infection. Wow, the ear and head pain has kicked in with a vengeance. When the pred wears off in the evening I am in tears sometimes. I do have pain meds, but of course they are relatively short lived. The good news is it is only temporary, the infection does seem to be clearing up, and I REALLY appreciate the benefit I have been having from the metho.(You kno, like banging your head against a brick wall, its great when you leave off!) Whoever said it was a trade off is absolutely right. I am fortunate to have a caring rheumatologist who listens to what I say, and also explains why he is doing certain things. Also as I said it helps a lot to hear all your input. I think we also have to remember our docs are only human, and most of them are doing their best, the sad thing is there are no guarantees in this life. I am trying to make an effort not to feel sorry for myself, because I KNOW there are so many people worse off than me. (That approach does not always help, but I have to try! I am also lucky that I have supportive friends and family, although right now I am a little worried that I am getting boring. I am also very grateful to have all you people. Sue (RN) I appreciate your genki-des as it is one of my long term goals to learn Japanese. I think a little Arabic input would be good, too. Allah maki (God be with you) Love Liz ---------------------------------
