Guest guest
Since the talk tonight is about PH I will tell that is up for me. Saw my Plumy today and he has schedule me for a Swan-Ganz Cauterization a week from tomorrow.I catheter will be inserted into my neck and through the heart to measure the Ph level. It should take about Half an hour to do in a ICU bed. He will leave it in place for 24 hrs to get a average pressure. It is a better way to get reading than a Echo. This will tell if the tracleer I have been on for over a year is working. If not he will probably add Revatio to the mixhttp://mplus.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003870.htmhttp://www.emedicine.com/med/topic2956.htmhttp://www.edwards.com/products/pacatheters/thermodilutioncatheter.htm P PM (Polymositis) 12/98, UIP 8/00, o2 24/7 8/04, PH 3/06, ILL yo 59 Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
I always like your references to sites. As someone with only mild PH at this point, I'm still trying to learn as much as possible, knowing why may lie ahead. Yesterday was a lot of learning on the subject here and then with your references. It's funny to me how the insurance companies seem to in some cases make it easier to get Tracleer than Revatio in spite of it being several times the cost. I think they suspect doctors of sneaking Revatio in for PH with the hope it will help with PF, off label, since it is in level three of clinical trials for PF. > > Since the talk tonight is about PH I will tell that is up for me. > > Saw my Plumy today and he has schedule me for a Swan-Ganz > Cauterization a week from tomorrow. > > I catheter will be inserted into my neck and through the heart to > measure the Ph level.
