Guest guest
Hey Marilyn, About dates in general. In Israel they are mostly sold in both the Market and Supermarket in the Bulk section in like large cases. Many things are sold this way in Israel! In many health food stores they are bagged by the actual store but with no labels. This makes it difficult to know which dates these are. I wonder if there is a way to tell by looking at it?? That way my dad can make this for me when I am there. Since it is hard to know that honey is %100 honey there and not mixed with molasses. He wants to get a source of honey from his friend in a kibbutz. I plan on returning to Israel again sometime in October/November at that time I will contact Avi with the SCD kitchen and report back here. My dad has been learning about all of this for me because he wants me to have an easier trip next time (his wife- step mom is totally nonsupporting of me doing this diet. Her mother has UC and has suffered for like 60 yrs.) Even with my feeling better- she knows best! But my dad doesn't care about opinion and is so happy something is finally working and that I am sleeping again! Anyway- wow that was a rant into some familial drama and dysfunction!
