Guest guest
Hi Everyone. I figured it was about time I posted the results of 's surgery. His surgery was September 28th. When the surgeon came out to see me, she told me that she did have some problems with the removal because the prostate was larger and more inflamed than she expected. He's had prostatitis and she felt the inflammation was from that. She decided to go ahead with the surgery and thankfully, he's doing well. On the final pathology report, his Gleason Score was a 3+3 = 6, there was no evidence of it having spread outside the capsule, the seminal vesicles and lymph nodes were clear. We're very thankful - so far, so good. He'll get his follow-up PSA in a couple of weeks. We're trying to decide on whether to have the regular PSA or the ultra-sensitive PSA. The catheter was no picnic for him - you need 4 hands to manage that thing But fortunately that was removed one week after surgery and he's doing pretty well with incontinence. Really hardly any at all except for some stress leakage. I think all things considered, he's doing well and we're very thankful. Thank you all for your input whenever I posted questions or concerns - it is truly appreciated. Sandy
