Hi everyone,

Day four of intro and diarrhea is still present. I am feeling very weak

and exhausted I assume this is normal. However do some people have

diarrhea forever? I have had 2 small bowel resections so I'm not sure

if this plays a part. I also read you can only stay on the intro for

five days max? Please give me any advice you have.

The diet doesn't help everyone, but Elaine officially advised to stay

on a month and see whether there are any changes. Some have

stayed on a few months before noticing changes and gone on to

complete improvement.

As n is fond of saying, you didn't get sick in a week and you

won't get better that quickly either. It will take a long time and a

lot of patience. But the first few weeks/months, when everything is

new,

is the hardest, when one feels the most impatient.

The thing to do is to notice any changes, however small,

going on in your system over time.

You can move off intro as long as your symptoms haven't

worsened. As Lucy once told me Elaine told her, there's nothing

magic about the chicken soup, etc. It's just a place to start.

So start with the really easy food.

Here's a chart you need *NOT* follow to the letter that

will help you figure out an order for reintroducing food.

It's helpful, but unlike the legal/illegal list, it's not

written in stone, so you can implement to the extent

that you find helpful for you personally.
