Hope you are getting some rest today and BJ is better. What was wrong with him? Don't feel like unfil "mommy" cause Mitzi will be okay. Paper in several places sounds like a good idea. Some other posts had good suggestions with mats and different ideas on crates and timing. It will just take a little time. Is Tina okay? Sounds like weather is getting rough in Florida.

Love,

Kay

Kay, I am not feeling so great today. Walking Mitzi isn't helping, but hey, what can you do, right? I tried putting newspaper down, and she likes laying on it, but won't go on it, so I told my hubby that I think I'll lay paper everywhere and perhaps she won't go in the house! lol!! I feel like an unfit "mommy" today cause I just don't have it in me to do much with her today. My husband is sick since Monday and had him at the ER last night til late and I'm so beat. Thanks for always being there and please keep BJ in your prayers cause he's so sick. Love, Kay Simpson <Siwelyak@...> wrote:

My collies are outside all the time so I am not much help on housebreaking. I think some folks use newspaper to help train pups. Can you walk Mitzi outside some or not?? Maybe frequent trips outside will help if that is possible. I know folks who train dogs to stay in a kennel all day while they are at work and they let them out as soon as they get home...

Kay, Thanks for the good wishes! We are both doing well and played hard this morning with a tennis ball, so baby is asleep right now, and so Mom has time to do some writing. Thanks for the support and any advise on housebreaking my baby would be appreciated! Will write more soon~Kay Simpson <Siwelyak@...> wrote:

To my friends on this RA group, Yesterday, we adopted a beautiful 8 week old girl hound. She's a bit bigger than I'd originally planned, but He led us together and here we are! Thanks for the encouragement and support! Love, P.S. Oh, her name is Mitzi.shelly smiegal <shelsmieg2000@...> wrote:

I also used to get gold injections back in the late 60's and early 70's and I believe they are still being used but are very rare. Methatrexate has been replacing the old gold salt injections and as I understand it, the reason they call it "gold" injection is because a small amount of gold was actually used in the mix.

Kay, Thank you so much for asking about Tina. I spoke with her two days ago and she said she thinks this prediction is a lot of bunk and she has no intentions of going anywhere. I tried to reason with her, but she just never seemed to grasp the concept when it comes to precautions. I will let you know as I hear from her. BJ has manic depression and has come down with migraine headaches and missed work all this week. Sometimes, I just don't know if he's sick or if it's in his head. It can be a lot to deal with. Please pray for him at this time and that God will continue to meet our needs. I'll be in touch and thanks again for being such a devoted friend.

Hey ,

Manic depression is really difficult. It's real and it's an illness.

problem with having something that's 'just in your head'

is it's way harder to understand and predict... cause it's

in your head.

Well, I know I'll be praying for you and yours.

Hope you got some rest and BJ is better. I know how hard things are when you don't get enough rest. Manic depression is also a lot to deal with. I see you have your hands full like the rest of us. My hubby is Vietnam Vet.

Kay
