I meant on-line or in person

In-line or in person?

Can someone inform me as to a central place that people can meet and have support for each others experience with cancer. Sincerely, Blass.

In addition to this group, I also suggest that you have a look at

http://www.yananow.org.

It's not forum like this one but it's full of useful information

and has many personal stories from survivors and some who did not

survive. It is maintained by Terry Herbert, who is a member of

this group.

Good luck.

Tom,

Besides the suggestion of this online group, which I have found very useful, and Yananow.net, which, with its personal stories is invaluable, you might also try Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. It has a prostate cancer support group. You can find it by going to the MSK website, go to prostate cancer, and in search type in support group. I suspect perhaps a local hospital on LI, e.g. Winthrop, might have a support group. (I used to live in Huntington, now in Columbus OH, where there are several prostate cancer support groups.)

Malecare runs a face to face group at Beth Israel Hospital in Union Square every Wednesday at 6 pm.  If you are interested I can give you more specifics.

Besides USTOO (which is nationwide, and very good), try here:

http://tinyurl.com/3tbh95x

It's from the American Association for Cancer Research. There's an extensive

list of support organizations, with contact info, on that page.
