Guest guest
If anyone on here has a chance, go the following website and check out their New (due out March, 2008) VIASpire Personal Oxygen System. This looks pretty simple and would save everyone from the headache of liquid oxygen delivery. Hope this info helps someone. www.inspiredtechnologiesinc.com The site says the VIAspire Liquefier converts gaseous oxygen from any OSD concentrator to liquid. Liquefies and stores two liters so portable refills are always available. Typically runs for four hours per day, liquefying enough oxygen for two fills, or 12-16 hours ambulatory use. Fills VIAspire Oxygen Portables in minutes. God Bless, Tina IPF 04/07 PH 11/07 Ohio
Guest guest
Looks very interesting, but I see only one advantage to it over just starting out with a liquid reservoir. That is not needing deliveries of oxygen. Obviously for some that has been a major issue. But, it shouldn't be. They also list as an advantage carrying your portable through the house and not using tubing. Well, you could do that with a reservoir and portable as well, although excepting having cats or moving around on a scooter or motorized chair, that wouldn't normally be a preferred choice. They talk about the advantages of liquid, well why not just start out that way? Why spend the cost of operating a concentrator to get to liquid? Depending on flow and location and hours a concentrator costs anywhere from $30-70 per month in electricity to operate. Also, liquid to start with is purer than the oxygen you get from the concentrator. However, for those who prefer concentrators, I do see this as an alternative just as I do the homefill concentrators for gaseous oxygen. The portables they use here are about the same size as the standard liquid portables. However, at higher flows, they don't offer anything to compare to a Companion 1000 or 1000T in size. I would like to see the product get a little life on it and work out bugs, but it is interesting. In spite of the fact, I'm not running out to ask for one, I applaud anything that provides extra choices for us. Great find, Tina. I do see one other possible use for this that they don't even mention. Travel by car. Take the concentrator. Fill your liquid portables. Drive. Arrive. Plug concentrator in. It would eliminate the need for refills of liquid reservoirs on long road trips like I intend to take. Even if the concentrator isn't indicated as portable, the typical concentrator still weighs no more and generally less than a portable liquid reservoir. > > If anyone on here has a chance, go the following website and check out > their New (due out March, 2008) VIASpire Personal Oxygen System.
