I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension last week. I

wasn't given any meds for it. How is this usually treated, and with

what?

Joy/Seattle

Interst PF

PAH

and for the life of me I can't remember the third one. I've noticed

lately that some words or phrases elude me, and they shouldn't!!

Pulmonary Hypertension treatment so depends on the level. How were

you diagnosed? I'm guessing maybe by echo which is only a very rough

tool in this respect. Thats all I've had as mine is very mild today.

Ultimately the time will come when you'll need a catheter diagnosis.

If pulmonary hypertension becomes serious and of great concern then,

yes, there are quite a few medications, starting lightly, and

proceeding up to things like Tracleer and Revatio and to the

procedure Joyce is trying.

Thanks Bruce. Yes, diagnosed using the echo...and yes, it is painful!

I guess mine is mild too. My next visit is in April to Dr.

Raghu...so, until then I'm playing it " cool " ....Joy
