Thank you Gwynne!

I'm glad to hear you're getting the transplant.

Subject: great support

Thanks, Leanne, Bruce, Peggy, , , Sher,

Joyce, and EVERYONE else who has been cheering me

on toward, hopefully, a transplant. It really helps knowing

you're there! , I promise I won't trip on the way to the

phone. The time of day the reality hits me the hardest

is when I go to bed, because these things so often take

place in the middle of the night. If that happens, I

promise not to break my wrist reaching over to my

bedside table phone. :-)

Bruce,

You're just a sweetie to post the information and stats

and offer me such solid encouragement. You're a good

friend, and I can use all the good vibes anyone wants to

send my way. Beggars can't be choosers, but I do feel

very good about the medical teams at either center. It's

really weird - I like the protocol at UTSW, but probably

have just as much confidence in the docs at UTHSCSA

even after one day simply because, for one thing, they're

not so overworked. As I saId, everything's a trade-off.

This is so funny. My dad, who wears hearing aids and

misses quite a bit, saw the doc's nametag with UTHSCSA

on it and thought it was his name. He had a heck of time

trying to figure out how to pronounce that one!

Mama Sher,

My prayers go with you tomorrow. I hope the day goes

very smoothly and that you'll have terrific results and a

short recovery time.

Kerry,

Thanks bunches for checking in on Joyce. I'm glad she

felt a bit better today. Bless her heart, I think of

her SOOOO much. I pray that the new medicine

will work and that she can tolerate it. I'm so grateful

that she has Lucian - what a good man he seems to

be. This must be so very difficult for him. The whole

family is in my prayers. I sent a card but am not going

to call now - I keep thinking she needs rest above all.

Irene,

Sending bunches of well wishes your way. I hope

tomorrow finds you more comfortable and in good

spirits. I wish you lived closer so we could come

visit you or bring you soup, but you know we're

with you in spirit. I know you will continue to be

strong. I hope this week will bring you much

improvement, and no pain! (((hugs)))

Judy,

What time of day was your transplant? It was so good

to read your last post, and to hear that things are

looking much brighter. You've been through so much

and I'm sure those three months seemed like three

years! I hope you continue to feel stronger with

every passing week. Have you been able to start

any pool rehab yet? Keep us posted. God bless.

Hugs and blessings,

Gwynne 56 IPF 7/04 listed for transplant 3/07 and

2/08 Texas

Gwynne, I'm throwing in my well wishes too! A friend of mine just got

transplanted in December and is finally gaining ground and doing much

better. He's 48 tomorrow, and he got the call fairly quick after

being listed.

You're on my prayer list, and also the " good vibes " list.... :)

I'm glad you liked the folks in SA, but my wish will be that you get

the call from the team you want the most.

Hugs and hugs from your fellow Texan in Driftwood,

Babs
