Sandi,

Have you seen a neurologist? Constipation is often

because of neuropathy. Most often neuropathy is only

spoken of in conjunction with Diabetic neuropathy but

Celiac neuropathy does the same thing. I assume you

aren't diabetic? Dr. Latov at Cornell writes a lot

about Celiac neuropathy as does a Marius

Hadjivasseliou in the UK.

If you won't get a stool test for gluten sensitivity

at least try to see a neurologist and it would be

better to see one who knows about Celiac at least. I

don't know where you live--anywhere near NY? Cornell?

Who knows, you could try. But if you go to a regular

neurologist take Latov's article with you on Celiac

Neuropathy that he published.

The following article is about Diabetic Neuropathy but

can be read as the same thing as Celiac/Gluten

Sensitivity Neuropathy. I think many of us can see

ourselves in this article.

http://www.aafp.org/afp/20050601/2123.html

Neuropathy can even cause lesions on the skin.

I think a huge amount of the pain that is suffered by

the women on this list is from neuropathy whether it

is genital, pelvic, urinary, muscle, vascular, skin,

or whatever.

If we don't have diabetes, the obvious thing is Celiac

Neuropathy. Such severe constipation, and constant

pain must be neuropathy.
