Sorry I don't have an answer. But it is an interesting connection.

My GI mentioned this to me a while back. Apparently, according to

a study I read, marijuana also has the same effect.

I suppose that the

smoke inhibits /suppresses the bacteria/yeast, so that they go

dormant while you are smoking. And when you try to quit, they

start going through their breeding cycle again, and it takes 35

days before they are burdensome enough on your system that

it starts the auto immune response and you flare.

I wonder if you joined Healing Crow someone there or the archives

might have more of an idea of how to work through it.
