Hi All,

I'm an old member. My husband had a Gleason 9, PSA 7.9 before treatment. He had 44 IMRT treatments in 2008. His PSA is slowly rising,,from .2 six months ago to .47 three months ago and now is .57. He has been having some off and on back pain,,doctors are doing and MRI with contrast on Friday morning. HIs new oncologist explained that we need to watch the PSA and we will have another test in three months. But the doctor agreed that an MRI was called for and he said he would go over the results after it's done. I'm trying to stay calm,,but I'm stressed. The doctor said the MRI would also show if there were any tumors growing,,,I guess if they are big enough. I certainly don't like what's happening. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I'll keep you all posted. Take care and God Bless.

Sincerely,

Sheila

Hello Sheila,

Although the trend is bad and you are right to be concerned, the good news is

that the cancer is still pretty small. If your husband goes on ADT, there is

a reasonable chance that it will be effective in holding down the cancer

for many years.

We'll all be thinking of you and we're wishing you the best of luck.

Alan
