Talk about having to watch your nurses! I love this hospital. They know me by name. The nurses are nice but they forgot the prescriptions I take everyday. And after 3 days without my antidepressant, I had a major anxiety attack. And I just noticed that I have not taken a single synthroid yet! Please be patient with me. I am tired and I have a tone of posts to look through. I love you all, Staci >> Hi , welcome home. I know how good it feels to be sleeping in your own bed. I always have that same problems with my meds when I go into he hospital. They give me all the meds related to my admission. Somehow, however, they forget my routine meds, particularly my thyroid and antidepressant. I have learned to carry them in my purse so if they are slow in getting them, then at least I can take them for 1-3 days before they get it together. It's pretty scary inside those hospital and I am a nurse. <<OK, about pain meds ... almost every one of them gives me relief but anxiety, Any ideas? I've used Vicoden (Yuck) Darvocet (It makes me feel as if I will fall at any minute.) and Tylenol Cod. (Still the best but still jittery)>> Staci it isn't uncommon that depression brings about anxiety also. Sometimes I get nervous when I al depressed. My doctor has prescribed Xanax for those times. He said it didn't mean I was manic-depressive. I don't take it all the times, but it sure does help. I would talk to your doctor and let him / her know this is bothersome for you, There are a lot of different medications out there. Again, welcome home. I am looking forward to hearing from you again.
