Guest guest
CT Scan showed thickening of bowel, meaning she may be starting to obstruct. If thinks don't settle down the doctor say she may require surgery. She continues unable to eat. Even drinking something as simple as hot chocolate is very painful. Fortunately, her GI is concerned and continues to search for answers. She continues to either see him or talk to him about every day including over the weekend and is on medications. I'm surprised he hasn't admitted her yet as she hasn't really had anything of substance to eat in ages. She occasionally has has one or two bites of a sandwich or chicken. Her sister took her grocery shopping the other night and she got lots of liquids and baby food. Meanwhile she keeps battling while waiting for a solution. Guest guest
No real change, but at least didn't get worse while at work today. Now she has two days off and says she'll sleep solid. Guess major change not likely until medication infusions next week although perhaps all the meds will make some difference before. Maybe with two days of rest they can have some impact. I hope. > > CT Scan showed thickening of bowel, meaning she may be > starting to > > obstruct. If thinks don't settle down the doctor say she may > require > > surgery. She continues unable to eat. Guest guest
Just dropping a little message saying HI to All my Friends! and I Hope Everyone is doing OK! Thanks Bruce for keeping the board updated for me. Hi Caro! thank you! There hasn't been any significant change...only dropping in weight almost 25 pounds. At the moment I'm craving for pizza lol! it feels like a truck has run over me. There's been no change and the meds are making me very weak. Cipro & Flagyl 500mg x2 a day for 2 weeks, Entocort 9mg for the next 7 days and Methotrexate 25mg every week. I cannot take Prednisone because I have Osteopenia (weak bones). Guest guest
Bruce... please send my warm hug to Irene. I'll double up with you for her as I've done with Peggy for Joyce. I hope she CAN sleep for an extended time! I'm doing ok. Can't see with my glasses on and can't see with them off....blurry. This will last about a week until I see the optometrist for new lens in my glasses. I'm going to see better though when I'm through with all this ! Mama-Sher, 69; IPF, 3-06, OR.Don't fret abouttomorrow, God is already there! Re: Irene No real change, but at least didn't get worse while at work today.
