Did you call the prescribing doc and ask this question? Did you google

the side effects of Elavil? Can you call pharmacist and ask if a

combination of the two meds can create what you are expereiencing?

We aren't docs and this sounds very much like something you should be

discussing with the doc.

Good luck and let us know

Zoloft and Amitriptylene (Elavil)

Hi All,

I have been on Zoloft for a couple of years now, and just recently

increased my Elavil to 30 mg. for the vaginal pain.

Though I know that is still a low dose, I feel like my mood is

getting MUCH worse, and I am irritable and short-fused like crazy.

I am so ready to quit my job - I have been crying for the last few

nights, reading these posts with a burning vagina, wondering what

the hell to do now.

I am being a total bitch to my boyfriend and mom... I feel bad, but

I feel angry, too.

Anyone have any ideas? Does it make sense that I feel MORE depressed

with more of an anti-depressant? I know one is an SSRI and one is a

Tricyclic, but still...

I think that is definitely possible. I would call your

doctor and tell

him/her and see what they say.
