Guest guest
I am now allergic to all of the OTC pain stuff, except extra strength Tylenol, which really doesn't do much of anything. My Rheumy put me on 200 mg of Celebrex a day for the pain, and it really does help. Lately though, I have been having flares in both wrists and I am going to start tapering off the Prednisone next week. I am really worried about what is going to happen when I do taper off. BTW, tell your hubby to get off his butt and help you with the housework. Someone who is in pain shouldn't be expected to carry the whole load by herself. My oldest sister moved in with her 7 year old a few months ago. She does dishes sometimes and cooks sometimes, and she's vacuumed once. I was hoping she would help with things around the house ... Nooooo. She asked me once how often I cleaned and changed beds - once a week - she complained that I clean too much!!! So .. out the door she goes. She's moving into her own apartment a lot earlier than she had planned. Becky
Guest guest
> My husband does not care one way or the other. He said he just wants a clean house. I have spent all day today trying to get this house cleaned and I am paying for it now big time! And if he says one word about not doing something like he wanted it done I will have the strength to knock him over the head with a cast iron skillet! HEHEHEHElolololol! **** I tend to forget how I am blessed. I have been married 42 years to a wonderful man who took over the laundry and dishwashing when my hands were so sore. He was just getting over West Nile encephalitis, and still managed to wait on me when I was unable to do things for myself. Fortunately, I can drive, because he still isn't driving, and between the two of us we manage. The vacuum hasn't been run in a while, and the kitchen floor needs mopped, but there is not one complaint. I still manage to cook and he has been doing what yardwork has to be done to keep the " neighborhood yard cops " from our necks. We have clean clothes, clean dishes and food on the table. The rest just waits. We are both retired, and we get a little done at a time. It will be another month before I start on any of the DMARC meds. Until then, I make do with the Naproxen and do what I can. We have a major storm going through today, and I woke up with my left knee the " joint du jour " . I have been hobbling around all day. My hands are twice as sore as they were yesterday before the storm blew in. Elbows and shoulders are much worse too. But it will be hot and dry again in a couple of days. This is from that hurricane off the west coast of Mexico. Sharon in Phoenix Sharon
Guest guest
dearest Anita, if I lived near you, I'd be right over to tell your hubby a thing or two; then I'd hold him down so you could whack him good! gentle hugs, MarciaAnita ez <coolcat1022@...> wrote: I cannot take the naproxen either. My doctor told me there are a # of different groups for anti-inflammatory med's. He said when people are allergic to one group they can still take some from one or more of the other groups. I, however, am allergic to some in most all the anti-inflammatory groups and therefore he does not feel comfortable giving me an anti-inflammatory for the RA. He would feel better to leave that to my RA doctor because he is more familiar with all the groups. So, unfortunately, for now I guess I have to deal with the pain seeings how the ultracet pain med he gave me doesn't work either. Thank-you for your concern. Guest guest
Hi, Pris! I am living on hydrocodone right now (surgery is 14 days away), but I am not sure of the ingredients. the surgeon has taken away my nsaid (lodeine) and my enbrel, since 21 days pre-op. I am dopey from the hydrocodone, but only have to work ten more days....I don't take it till I am in the office....and it wears off before the drive home. it keeps me awake with goofy dreams....gentle hugs, MarciaNELLIESTAR@... wrote: I need narcotic pain relievers once in a while, but do not want to take Tylenol.....most seem to contain it, like Vicodan...Any suggestions?PrisDoes your pig need a brush-up in manners or obedience?Or bored and wanting to learn tricks?"Potbellied Pig Behavior and Training" bookwww.valentinesperformingpigs.com __________________________________________________

For me, it is painful first, but I benefit greatly! It lubricates the joints as I get them moving! But if it is truly painful in the long run, hire a housekeeper for a few hours per week...it will save your marriage! Pris i Or bored and wanting to learn tricks?
