Deborah,

I give myself Humira and Methotrexate Inj once a week. I'm not very

good at it but i keep trying. I was told to pull back a little to see

if any blood showed up. If it did, try it someplace else. Three weeks

ago I had thought I had done every thing right, but a day or two

later I got a large bruise(blood) area around the injection site.

That was three weeks ago and just now you can barely see it. So now

if I get ANY blood I don't try a differnt angle or depth, I do

another part of my body. I also don't give my Humira and Methotrexate

injections on the same side of my body on Friday nights. (when I take

mine) My wife always says she will do it but I tell her no. She did

too much as THE caregiver during her mothers 8 year fight with

Overian (?) cancer and I told her that I would not put here thru

that. I just kinda close my eyes when I stick them in, then open them

for the injection part. By the way the needles on my Humira needles

go in pretty smooth while the Methotrexate needles are like pushing

my finger into the side of my leg. Well this has been long enough.

Peace,

Ray L.

has happened since I began several months ago. I follow the

instructions as demonstrated by the nurse in my doctor's office, and

she didn't mention anything about the possibility of puncturing a

blood vessel. In the video that came with the medication that I w it

out and start over?

Ray, I don't know where you're getting your needles for the MTX, but I think I must get mine at the same place as you! Mine hurt so bad, they feel totally dull!~Ray Lauffer <lakeyar@...> wrote:

You got that right! I could've sworn last time it pushed my skin in

over an INCH before it broke the skin.....
