Guest guest
Hi Angie: I hope you are feeling better. This disease is such a bummer from so many aspects. Let me know if you think the Minocin helps. I seem to recall it took about a month for it to start to work but I didn't really appreciate what it was doing until I forgot to take it and the fibro pain and Reynaud's came back. It is once you don't take it that you really do see it helps. My doc was worried about the color of my hands and vascular insufficiency. Vascultitis is indicative of more serious outcome per the literature but I'm too stubborn to listen. Both doc and I feel the Ibu is the best and such large doses because of the vasculitis. Hope my stomach holds in there, but so far so good. How much Ibu do you take? It seems to thin the blood better than some of the other anti-inflammatory meds except for asprin which is why I think I respond better to Ibu than the others. Think I'm going to add a coated asprin a couple times a day since vasculitis is acting up. You should see how long I bleed after I shave my legs. It's pathetic. Only thing I worry about is if I would have to have surgery, I'd be in big trouble. I'm sure they wouldn't even consider doing surgery on all the ibu I'm on but run the risk of blood clots and strokes if my blood isn't thin from vascultitis. Thank goodness the low dose birth control pills are helping the endometriosis and it is tolerable now. Docs don't think risk of blood clots from that is very high since it is such a low dose. Hope everyone has a painfree day or one in which God helps us find a way to deal with it. Guest guest
did you get yeast infections from the minocin? I saw two rheumy in two weeks, the first one added the minocin the second one wants me off, I am stuck between the rock and the hard place here knowing what to do. so far I am still taking it as it is helping another condition I have and that was an unexpected bonus. I take 2400 mgs of ibu at a time and I can take it 4 times a day if swelling is severe. It helps with the swelling but not the pain any more. Guest guest
Hi Roy, I'm doing very well. Thank you. Lu has been a real comfort for me lately, and I really should not rag on her. But I'm only a man.. Lu was explaining the operation of the computer, and it seems that she can accomplish a lot, if she just uses a mouse lick. Hi Lu I bet I'll get that phone call a lot sooner now. I still Love ya. Jim
