Guest guest
Hi all, I'm going to do a Gwynne style reply, or I might be here all day. Sher, I'm so glad it all went well, take care. Dawn, I always have to give a urine sample when I visit my rhuemy. I think that as I'm on the pred they're checking primarily for diabetes. As far as I'm aware an echo can show pulmonary hypertension. I was told on my echo that I have a slight 'regurgitation' of blood from my pulmonary artery, which is the pre-cursor to early pulmonary hypertension, but it doesn't mean that it will turn into ph and there are many people who have the same sort of thing without any sign of lung disease. , TCM = The Cats Mother HTH Bruce/Leanne, Properly done mexican food is lovely. Tex-Mex is the oxymoron over here, where chefs just chuck in a load of chilli and say it's 'mexican'! , That's brilliant news xxx Irene, I really hope you start to feel better soon. Chin up xx Peggy, get that cough sorted out, that's an order! Caro, happy belated birthday, I hope you had a fantastic day Donna, I'm so pleased your transpland is going well. Please keep us updated. Gwynne, my fingers are still crossed for you that you don't have too long a wait Finally Babs. I really think you're being very greedy! Don't you think you should share out some of those illnesses instead of having them all to yourself???? I have the Jo1 antibody, oh what joy, I hope it's a negative for you. Love to you all Take care Love Ze xx
Guest guest
Zena So glad you're back. We miss members whenever they are gone and the UK must be properly represented. One comment on PH and the echo. An echo may indicate there is likely PH. Trying to phrase that carefully. Gwynne corrected my misconception sometime back however in that it can absolutely diagnose. The catheter is the only way to ultimately get an accurate PH diagnosis. So, normally I think what happens is that one might suspect based on an echo, then when some symptoms start to appear, they will go to a catheter to confirm and determine the extent. Hopefully, I've expressed this correctly as it was something I learned from my Fort Worth neighbor and verified by looking online. > > > Hi all, I'm going to do a Gwynne style reply, or I might be here all > day. Guest guest
Thanks Zena and Bruce. I’m still waiting to hear when mine will be. I hope it’s soon! Do you experience pain when you have PH? Guest guest
When I was asking my doc about PH, I asked him if you could 'feel' it, and he said not really, the most common early symptom patients notice is swollen ankles!
